Carlos L. Signoret

Mr. Signoret is a co-founder of HCP, with approximately 20 years experience in private equity and leveraged finance.  His private equity transaction experience has focused on middle market companies based in the U.S. within a wide variety of sectors.  He has extensive experience in leveraged finance with senior mezzanine and high yield debt structures for middle market and large corporations.

Prior to co-founding HCP, Mr. Signoret was a Partner from 1996 to 2000 at CM Equity Partners, L.P. (“CMEP”), a New York based private equity fund affiliated with Carl Marks & Co., Inc., focusing on the acquisition of middle market manufacturing, distribution and service companies throughout the U.S. and Canada. During his tenure with CMEP, Mr. Signoret completed seven transactions in four platform acquisitions.

From 1990 to 1996, Mr. Signoret worked for The Chase Manhattan Bank, N. A. (“Chase”), where he worked on numerous leveraged acquisitions and financing transactions with some of the leading U.S. leveraged buyout firms in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, concentrating in the food and beverage, media and insurance industries.  While at Chase, Mr. Signoret was also responsible for closing and monitoring later-stage private equity transactions.

Mr. Signoret earned a BBA in finance, with honors, from the University of Puerto Rico and a Masters in applied economics and corporate finance from the University of Michigan, where he was a Horace H. Rackham Scholar.
