Carlos L. Signoret

Mr. Signoret has over 20 years of experience in private equity and leveraged finance.  His private equity transaction experience has focused mainly on financing growth of small businesses.

He is currently a Partner and co-founder of HCP & Company, an institutional investment firm based in Chicago, with over $200 million of assets under management.  HCP provides growth equity capital to small businesses in the U.S.

Prior to HCP, Mr. Signoret was a Partner at CM Equity Partners, L.P., a New York based private equity fund affiliated with Carl Marks & Co., Inc. CMEP focuses on the acquisition of middle market manufacturing, distribution and service companies throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Before CMEP,  Mr. Signoret worked for The Chase Manhattan Bank, N. A., where he worked on numerous leveraged acquisitions and financing transactions with some of the leading U.S. leveraged buyout firms.  While at Chase, Mr. Signoret was also responsible for closing and monitoring later-stage private equity transactions with Chase Capital’s private equity portfolio.

Mr. Signoret earned a BBA in finance, with honors, from the University of Puerto Rico and a Masters in Applied Economics and Corporate Finance from the University of Michigan, where he was a Horace H. Rackham Scholar.
